A Must Have For Happy Babies! by Julie, 11/05/2008
Merino wool is incredibly soft. It hugs my baby's skin in ways cotton can only dream about. It's perfect for cooler climates, but it also does well in our hot, humid south Georgia climate. The luxurious merino breathes, and will absorb perspiration, releasing it into the air to prevent overheating. It does not require frequent washing, simply air it out each day. It is odor resistant, so you do not have to worry about washing it often. I drape mine over the side of the crib to air, and unless it is soiled I can wash it about once or twice a month. I have used many other swaddling blankets, and Cocooi can't be beat. Other cotton wraps have not held up. They do not wash well and I have to wash them more often. The Cocooi is easy to use and my little boy cannot wriggle free. He sleeps peacefully, waking only for feedings. He drifts back to sleep immediately afterwards. He seems to only get cranky for diaper changes, when the Cocooi comes off. I love the fact that the Cocooi can be used in a car seat or stroller. The convienent safety belt aperture makes it possible! The blanket is machine washable (I use a little wool wash)and it can be tumble-dried. I love the fact that merino wool is naturally flame resistant. Unlike other sleepwear, no chemicals are used to give it this wonderful feature!
Fantastic Cocooi Baby Wrap better than Grobags by Miss Courtney, 10/30/2008
I recently purchased the Cocooi Baby wrap by Merino Kids.
It came with a free matching beanie and I cannot praise this product enough. The wrap itself is very light weight almost feels like a cotton rather than merino wool yet it kept my little man warm even on those chilly nights.
I was a little worried about buying it at first because I have allergy's to wool and normally get a rash so i thought my son might too. Surprisingly not only was it a soft smooth feel on my skin and my sons it was fine, no rashes, no irritations.
I think its really great how it doesn`t need a TOG rating as its suitable for all seasons because its not a synthetic fibre. In my opinion its WAY BETTER than the grobags which i have also used.
