Ideal lightweight stroller for travelling! by Julie, 06/23/2010

We bought this 4.5kgs stroller for our impending trip overseas next week for our 14 month old son and couldn't be any happier. After extensive research for a lightweight stroller for travelling we stumbled across the Silvercross Fizz. We currently have a Bugaboo Cameleon pram which we usually take with us and check it in as the pram is big and not allowed in the terminal. As our son can't yet walk yet and we struggled a few times carrying him on short domestic trips throughout the airport, we decided on investing in the Fizz which can be pushed in the airport and folded nicely to give to the flight attendant as we board. Its such a great looking lightweight and comfy stroller that can recline in comparison to some umbrella stroller that's available in the Discount Department Stores, which can't. For all the travelling we did and investing in the Bugaboo transport bag (which costed more than the Fizz) its a shame we didn't find the Fizz earlier. Bebeonline made our purchase transaction even more the easier when we discovered that the Fizz was quite limited in Sydney and only available on order. We made a few enquiries via email on a Sunday regarding stock availability thinking we would get a reply during business hours Mon - Fri but to our surprise we actually received a very speedy response. So we placed the order with confidence, received a courtesy call on Mon advising us of the estimated arrival and the stroller arrived on Tues morning. We couldn't be any happier with the Fizz purchase itself and the experience we had with Bebeonline. I had been looking for a lightweight stroller for throwing into the car and making quick trips to the shops etc., but was underwhelmed by what was available in stores. Everything we saw was a combination of too flimsy, not that much lighter than our 3-wheeler buggy, seemed uncomfortable for the little one, or overpriced for its purpose. The Fizz stroller ticked all the boxes and we couldn't be happier with the purchase. Not only is the stroller reasonably priced, but it does not compromise on quality (sturdy construction but really lightweight, nice materials used), style (clearly the best-looking stroller on the street), usability (easy to manoeuvre, easy to open/close) and comfort for our 6 month old. Our son loved the stroller the moment he sat in it. The mesh makes the seat comfortable and well-ventilated, but also provides enough support for him to sit up and look about, or fall asleep without slouching over. The Fizz really does punch above its weight in the stroller category. Both my husband and I felt it was head and shoulders above the other strollers in the same price bracket, and even rivalled the more expensive models of the more popular stroller brands. Also really happy with purchasing the stroller online from Bebe. Excellent customer service and speedy delivery (arrived the next day!).

We have just returned from a trip to Fiji with our three boys. We have travelled extensively with our Bugaboo but now with three children we needed something lightweight to travel with. The Fizz fit the bill and my husband and I were left wondering why we hadn't bought one sooner. The travel bag made flying with it a breeze. The stroller folds up neatly, is easy to carry and for anyone to push. Even my husband didn't stoop to push the stroller. The mesh sides gave our 7 month old ventilation and he could sticky beak out the sides. Even our two year old wanted to ride in the Fizz. In a sea of Macalren strollers the graphic design of the Silver cross fizz certainly stood out. Once back home I have kept the stroller in the car for shopping trips and the number of people who have commented on the stroller is amazing. We were the envy of many other Mummies and Daddies. We bought the Fizz stroller on Bebe's website. The customer service is fantastic and I couldn't believe how quickly the package was delivered. Right to my door, 500km away from the store. What a pleasure. We couldn't recommend the Silvercross stroller more highly.
