The Skip Hop Pronto Baby Changer looks like it goes fast - it’s ready for action with its waterproof fabric, Velcro, zippers, clips and mesh. Traditionally I don’t really ‘do’ sporty, but I just moved to the top of a really big hill, with a lovely park at the bottom and I am feeling inspired by my new accessory. My new fitness plan involves regular trips Bessie’s favourite swing in the playground, a circuit of the local shops, followed by me struggling to push the fully loaded pram back up the aptly named Hill Street. The Pronto is coming with me for those unexpected emergencies that babies tend to have.

So while I was unpacking all my boxes I found a baseball hat, some sneakers and a drink bottle to complete my new athletic look.  Not wanting to push an extra gram, I discard my heavy nappy bag in favour of the Pronto filled with only the bare necessities – nappies, wipes, house key, iPhone and credit card.  It makes a neat little package hanging off the pram with its handy wrist strap - if only it was so easy to shed my own weight and look so svelte.

When I’m not feeling quite so sporty, which pretty much all of the time, the Pronto turns any tote bag into a baby bag, keeping Bessie’s things neat and tidy amongst my personal chaos.  On a really lazy day it can be handed over to Dad, along with the child, and he shouldn’t be too embarrassed about carrying a ‘hand bag’. The removable change mat is a more than generous size and big enough for Mamma’s bum on the damp grass too, but still not big enough for some babies…

And the good news on my Pronto inspired fitness plan? After a couple of weeks, I can’t keep my jeans up.  Looks like the Pronto is coming shopping.

I could have bought a small car for the price of my Bugaboo Cameleon -Denim Edition by far my most expensive baby purchase.  I love my Bugaboo, it gives me freedom and mobility which maintains my sanity. 10 things I love about you, Bugaboo.

1. Big Pram, Small Car. I can pull you into 300 pieces so you will fit into my tiny 3 door hatchback.

2. Your soft, sexy dark denim never clashes with my clothes, or Bessie’s.  This is very important.

3. Bugaboo in one hand, iPhone in the other, I can push you while checking Facebook and still not hit anything.

4. My Baby Girl slept tucked up nice and tight in your bassinette by my bed for the first month.

5. Your big back wheels mean I can get on and off the train (and up and down stairs) all by myself.  If only I could get people to stop being so helpful…

6. I can stare at my baby all day as I push her around, even though she is bored by looking at me. I turned her the other way once, but only got as far as the lift before I had to turn her around again…

7. Grown men and women are jealous of how comfortable my Baby Girl looks in her ride that comes complete with independent suspension.

8. A finger flip can extend your handle, pull your brake, and flip your direction.

9. The addition of bag hooks and a cup holder mean I don’t have to carry anything anymore. I was horrified when I went shopping without the Bugaboo and had to carry my handbag and shopping. Unacceptable.

10. You are ridiculously good looking
